Project Description
The Cubee Car Center in Shanghai redefines the traditional automotive showroom by transforming it into an immersive automotive experience space. Rather than serving solely as a vehicle display, the showroom combines automotive heritage with art, lifestyle, and contemporary design to create a distinctive brand experience. Its intentionally dark interior, featuring low-reflectance flooring and restrained architectural finishes, directs full attention to the classic automobiles on display, giving each vehicle a striking visual presence. In this setting, lighting becomes the defining design element, precisely revealing the forms, materials, and surface qualities of every exhibit.

The Solution
This sophisticated lighting concept was realized using a combination of intelligent, controllable track lights and recessed downlights. The installation features RoboTrac Motorized Zoom Track Lights with ZigBee control. The RoboTrac luminaires offer a motorized zoom optic with a wirelessly adjustable beam angle from 12° to 55°, enabling flexible lighting scenes—from highlighting individual vehicles to showcasing entire vehicle displays, reproducing paint finishes, materials, and fine surface details with exceptional accuracy.
